1. Is Propane less expensive than electric? Yes – On average propane can be significantly more cost-effective than electric. This is due in part to the fact that electricity requires another energy source to create it, adding to the cost. Here is a comparison for Southeastern PA for you to consider:

2. Do I own my tank? When you participate in our Inspection and Maintenance Program you lease your tank from County Propane and we handle all maintenance, inspections and most repairs for the life of your tank.

3. What are my options when it comes to the size of a propane tank? Propane tanks are available in many different sizes based on what you’ll be using propane to power. County Propane provides tanks ranging in size from 120 to 1,000 gallons. Our Propane Solutions Representative will meet with you to discuss your needs and recommend the appropriate size and placement.

4. Do I have to schedule refills or will you? Our auto-fill option guarantees you will never run out of propane and is available at no extra cost. Or, if you prefer, you can contact us when your gauge is reading between 35% & 40% and we will work to schedule a will-call delivery the next time we are in your area (please note – this could be up 5-7 business days to be incorporated within our delivery route, depending on where you live) . We also offer emergency fill options if necessary for an additional fee.

5. Do fuel prices fluctuate? Yes, we do see a fluctuation based on time of year and demand with prices from suppliers edging higher during the winter months when cold temperatures cause you to crank up the thermostat. Our Budget Billing Program divides your approximate annual propane billing over 12 equal monthly payments, meaning you’ll pay the same amount each month for your propane service, allowing you to effectively plan your budget during colder months when bills are typically higher.
