Company-Owned vs Privately-Owned: Know Your Options

As temperatures begin to dip, the team at County Propane is hard at work ensuring our customers have all of the HD5 Premium Plus gas, our proprietary propane solution, they need to stay warm.

While we strive to provide solutions that work for each customer we serve, here are a few things you should know when considering your propane options:

Tank and Equipment Fuel

At County Propane, we require all prospective customers to provide proof of tank ownership, as well as a maintenance/inspection history, before we schedule service to ensure the safety of our customers and Propane Specialists.

We also encourage customers to sign up for our customer portal to pay bills, request service and enroll within our auto-fill program, which guarantees peace of mind that you should never run out of fuel.

Maintenance and Upkeep

Propane tanks require annual inspections by law to ensure they are functioning properly.  Owning your propane tank and equipment means that you are responsible for covering all costs for buying and installing your tank plus paying for a professional to maintain it. Many homeowners elect to use company-owned propane tanks and equipment so they are not responsible for inspections or upkeep.

Our Delivery Specialists conduct FREE inspections for all company-owned tanks before each fill and also provide regular maintenance on all tanks and equipment. By using a company-owned tank you receive the best propane performance and minimize any potential down-time.
